Dose anything in all the world force a heavier weight on one's shoulders then guilt? We all have felt the burden of guilt, have carried it over many steps.
Guilt resembles a sword with two edges. On one hand, it cuts for justice, imposing practical morality upon those who fear it. Guit, the censequence of conscience, is what seperates the goodly persons from the evil. Given a situation that promises gain, the evil can kill another, family or otherwise, and walk away carring no emotional burden at all. The assassin might fear retribution but will shed no tears for his victim.
